Extended Suffix Chains
Turkish allows very long suffix chains. The order is crucial:
1. Root
2. Derivational suffixes (passive, causative, reflexive)
3. Negative
4. Tense/aspect
5. Person
6. Question
Each follows vowel harmony with the preceding element.
gel-dir-il-e-me-yecek-ti-mcome + CAUS(bring) + PASS + ABIL + NEG + FUT.PAST + I

Nominal Suffix Stacking
For nouns, the order is:
1. Root
2. Plural
3. Possessive
4. Case
5. Copula
6. Question
Buffer consonants appear between vowels.
ev-ler-imiz-de-ki-lerhouse + PL + our + LOC + REL + PL
kitap-lar-ın-ız-dan-mışbook + PL + your + ABL + EVID
araba-lar-ı-n-ın-ki-lercar + PL + his + buffer n + GEN + REL + PL
Relative Suffix -ki
The suffix -ki converts location/possession into 'the one which/who is...':
Pattern: Location/possessor + -ki
Creates adjectives or pronouns.
İstanbul'daki evIstanbul + da + ki + house
benimkilerbenim + ki + ler
dünkü gazetedün + kü (special form) + newspaper
Complex Possessive Chains
Multiple possessive relationships can chain together:
Pattern: Noun1 + GEN + Noun2 + POSS + GEN + Noun3 + POSS
Example: Ali's father's car = Ali-nin baba-sı-nın araba-sı
öğretmen-in çocuğ-u-nun kitab-ıteacher + GEN + child + POSS + GEN + book + POSS
Türkiye-nin başkent-i-nin adıTurkey + GEN + capital + POSS + GEN + name + POSS
