When to Use Pronouns

In Turkish, subject pronouns are often omitted because verb endings show who is doing the action. Pronouns are used mainly for emphasis or clarity.

Compare:

'Ben gidiyorum' (I am going - emphasized)

'Gidiyorum' (I'm going - normal)

Geliyorum
I'm coming

No pronoun needed, verb ending shows 'I'

Ben geliyorum, sen bekliyorsun
I'm coming, you're waiting
